Aims

  • Young people can flock together, get creative and be themselves.

  • Young people can better navigate the world, with access to support.

  • Volunteers and professionals with lived experience of neurodivergence develop their work through peer support, mentoring and training.

  • Organisations up-skill their workforce through training and consultancy around neurodiversity.

Outcomes

  • Young people make connections, build a sense of positive identity and improve wellbeing.

  • Young people develop self-knowledge and improved access to support

  • Volunteers and professionals develop experience, networks and best practice.

  • Organisations increase awareness, knowledge and acceptance of neurodiversity and have the practical tools and confidence to do so.

Objectives

In 2023-24 we plan to:

  • Run youth projects in 4 areas of GM, working with 150 young people per year.

  • Develop a training and mentoring programme for neurodivergent volunteers, working with 20 people per year.

  • Provide training and consultation to 50 organisations across the UK.

  • Create practical tools and resources that support neuro-inclusion, awareness and acceptance of neurodiversity, accessed by 25 organisations per year.
